Chapter 314: More Dark Elf Then Normal Elf
Chapter 314: More Dark Elf Then Normal Elf
Leona quickly continued.
"The salamander queen says that the moment you step into their territory, she’ll definitely burn you on the spot. She says even if they have to create an entire volcano to fight against you, they will do so."
Luca raised an eyebrow. "Salamander race? I didn’t see them at the meeting."
"You mean the ones with fire and lava all over their bodies?" Lulu piped up cheerfully. "They’re so cool! I saw them once, and I never forgot them!"
"They’re like living lights in the night—"
"Lulu, please." Luca said tiredly. "I’m trying to be depressed right now."
"Oh. Sorry." Lulu immediately quieted down.
Nyx stepped in. "The salamander race was one of the few that didn’t attend the meeting. Either they were too scared or they had their own reasons."
"But they’re close to other races, so whatever happened would have been transmitted through them anyway."
Leona sighed deeply as she said,
"Most of the races feel the same way, Luca. They don’t want you approaching them. They’d prefer if you stay in the elf territory permanently."
"We tried to plead with them." Nyx added. "We asked for a second chance. But nothing could be done."
She shook her head, her expression weary. "Overall, every single race feels that way."
"Even the dwa—I mean, the giants have gotten involved."
Leona quickly corrected herself before apprehensively adding,
"Apparently, they’re creating a golem just to defeat you."
Luca’s head shot up.
"Wait, what do you mean the giants are creating a golem? Isn’t that something the dwarves would do?"
The elves exchanged a strange look, almost as if they knew something he didn’t. Nyx finally spoke.
"That’s a long story, Hero. If you eventually meet them—if you get the chance—you’ll find out."
Luca frowned, confused, but Nyx quickly moved on.
"The dragon race and the vampire race are also particularly incensed." She said like it was obvious. "They’re both prideful races, used to being haughty and superior—just like us elves. And they’ve suffered through such...humiliation."
"The vampire queen especially." She shook her head in dismay.
"She already has a stuck-up personality at the best of times, and now she’s daring you to come over so she can slice you up and suck out your blood."
"At least she’s consistent." Luca muttered.
"Is there any good news?" He asked desperately. "Anything at all?"
Nyx considered the question.
"Well, it’s not exactly good news, but the Matriarch of the dark elves didn’t have too harsh of a reaction."
"Even though she wasn’t exactly inviting you over, she didn’t seem too angry either. Instead..."
She lovingly caressed her belly.
"...she was more focused on asking about me and my baby."
Luca sat up straighter, his interest piqued.
"Oh yeah, I forgot to ask about that. Why exactly is the dark elf queen so focused on you? She even tried to call you over back to her place."
A look of shock crossed his face.
"Don’t tell me your mother was actually a dark elf or something!?"
Nyx shook her head gently.
"No, Hero. My mother is definitely a pure-blooded elf. It’s nothing like that. It’s just...the dark elf queen and I have a history." She smiled nostalgically. "She likes me quite a lot. We’re basically best friends."
Leona immediately scoffed, folding her arms.
"Best friends? More like she treats you as her very own blood sister—even though that’s obviously not true!"
She pointed at herself indignantly. "I am your true sister. Not her!"
Nyx slid over and hugged Leona, who was clearly jealous.
"Come on, Leona. Really? You’re jealous? There’s no way I would ever leave you!"
Leona huffed, but she didn’t pull away from Nyx’s embrace.
Luca watched the exchange with confusion until Luna leaned over and quietly explained,.
"Auntie Nyx and the dark elf Matriarch actually go way back."
"Normally, our races don’t get along the best—we used to be at war, actually, but that was long ago. Nowadays we’re at peace."
"But still, we live completely different lives. We prefer peace and serenity, while they embrace chaos and dark arts. We don’t always get along."
Lulu suddenly appeared at Luca’s other side, her voice cheerful.
"But Auntie Nyx is an exception!" She declared. "Unlike the other elves, Auntie Nyx has always been a bit odd. She has her own dark tendencies."
Luca nodded in agreement. He had firsthand experience with Nyx’s more depraved inclinations—both inside and outside the bedroom.
She was definitely more of a dark elf than a normal elf.
"That’s exactly why she hit it off with the dark elf queen." Luna confirmed. "They became so close that the queen actually considered Auntie Nyx a sister."
She then conspiratorially added,
"And you know, she loved Auntie Nyx so much that she even kidnapped her and tried to take her back to the dark elf village in the past!"
Luca gasped at the gossip. "What? What happened after that?"
Luna shook her head, still smiling.
"Of course, there was no way we could allow that. Mother and Grandma went to the dark elf village and managed to get her back."
"The queen of the dark elves was very adamant back then—she was willing to do anything to keep Nyx by her side."
"It was only when the Grand Matriarch of their race smacked her daughter on the head and made her calm down that we were able to bring Auntie Nyx back."
Luca was genuinely surprised. He hadn’t expected to hear such a dramatic story.
But then again, she was exactly the type of person who would get kidnap someone just because she likes them.
She definitely gave off those chaotic, unpredictable energies.
But he pushed that thought aside, focusing on what was truly important.
"Leona, Nyx." He said urgently, his voice taking on a desperate tone.
Both women, who had been bickering playfully, immediately looked toward him.
"What about the slime girls?" Luca asked, his eyes practically pleading. "What do they have to say?"
Nyx and Leona exchanged a look.
Finally, Nyx shook her head slowly, her expression grave.
It was the look of a doctor informing a patient that their loved one had died.
Luca clutched his heart, sinking into the sofa.
"No way...My slime girls...My dream...It’s all gone."
He let out a helpless chuckle, his eyes glazing over with genuine despair.
"I was so close." He muttered. "So close to achieving my dream of having slime girls, and now..."
Luna immediately rushed to comfort him.
"It’s alright, Luca! Don’t give up!" She said, forcing a bright smile. "You’re really charming! You’ll definitely win them over!"
But Lulu shook her head skeptically.
"I doubt that. After experiencing what they experienced in those dreams, I’m pretty sure all the slime girls ran away to the human continent just to avoid Luca."
Luca’s face grew even paler, as if he was about to faint.
"Lulu!" Luna scolded.
"What?" Lulu shrugged. "I’m just saying the truth."
The two sisters started bickering, their voices rising over each other while Luca wallowed in despair on the sofa.
Leona watched the scene unfold and quietly turned to Nyx.
"Should we tell him what happened to the queen of the Lamia race?"
Nyx considered it for a moment, her face thoughtful.
"We have no choice." She finally said. "Not to mention, maybe Luca knows something about what happened. He might be able to clear up the doubts on that side as well."
Leona still hesitated, clearly reluctant to deliver this particular piece of news.
It was probably the most devastating and weird of them all—something none of them had expected.
But still, they had no choice.
"Luca." She finally called out to Luca, her voice cutting through the bickering between Luna and Lulu.
He slowly looked up, his expression hollow.
"There’s one more thing we have to say." Leona continued, her voice heavy. "It’s about what happened to the queen of the Lamia race."
His despair flickered, replaced by curiosity. He pushed Lulu and Luna aside and sat up straighter.
"What do you mean? What happened to her? Did she also send a message full of hatred and vengeance like everyone else?"
He tried to smile, but it came out wry.
Leona nodded her head slowly.
"Yes. The lamia race did send a message. But rather than scolding you, they informed us of an event that happened on the other side."
She paused, her expression turning grim.
"It’s quite tragic, honestly. I never expected such a thing to ever happen."
Nyx nodded in agreement, her face solemn.
Luca felt a chill run down his spine. Leona and Nyx, who had been through so much already, were clearly shaken by this news.
He had never seen them like this.
"Tell me."
He said, his voice firm despite his growing dread.
"Tell me exactly what happened to the Lamia queen."
