Chapter 198: The Clever Sister Hui

Chapter 198: The Clever Sister Hui

“What do you mean? You have a way?” Zhou Yuwen asked Su Qing.  In response, Su Qing sent him three smiling emojis.

Zhou Yuwen thought back to Chen Wan’s development in his previous life. She was a capable woman, and bringing her into his circle could only be beneficial. “If you’ve got a way to bring Chen Wan over, just tell me.”

“What’s in it for me if I do?” Su Qing teased.

Chen Wan was currently the vice president of the student council, and Su Qing, being in the same organization, had a good rapport with her. In their past life, Su Qing had always gotten along well with her seniors, so her confidence seemed justified.

“Get her on board first. Then we’ll talk,” Zhou Yuwen replied.

“What’s my reward?”

“What do you want?”

“I want a baby. ????”

“Are you crazy?” Zhou Yuwen replied with a sweating emoji.

“????????????,” Su Qing sent back.

“You’re only a first-year. Where am I supposed to get you a baby?” Zhou Yuwen shot back.

“Obviously, you’d have to make one with me,” Su Qing replied playfully.

Zhou Yuwen chuckled. “Didn’t you refuse when my mom mentioned kids? And now you’re suddenly on board?”

“Well, back then, we didn’t have an empire to inherit. ????”

“We still don’t. ????”

“Whatever, boring man!”

Su Qing’s tone was lighthearted, but there was a hint of seriousness beneath it. Zhou Yuwen’s accomplishments since their rebirth were undeniable. At just 19 years old, he was already running three businesses and showing immense potential.

In their past life, Su Qing’s job had been lucrative but high-pressure. Working on high-stakes design projects for elite clients had left her drained, and the idea of having children while juggling that life seemed impossible.

But in this life, seeing Zhou Yuwen’s success—and the growing number of women around him—Su Qing felt the need for security. Having a child seemed like the ultimate way to solidify her place by his side.

Still, her words were more flirtatious than serious.

“Fine, we can hold off on the baby, but we can start practicing. ????”

“Su b, you’re getting bold,” Zhou Yuwen teased.

“What did you call me?! ????”

Their playful banter continued for a while until Zhou Yuwen redirected Su Qing to focus on bringing Chen Wan into the company.

“Got it,” Su Qing replied.

After ending the chat, Zhou Yuwen attended to some business. His list of responsibilities was growing—recruiting delivery riders, overseeing model training, and managing office renovations.

Stopping by the university’s entrepreneurship park, he visited his new office space, which was still under renovation. Thanks to his connections, the school had provided him two offices for free.

When Zhou Yuwen arrived, he found Lu Hui overseeing the workers.

Lu Hui was sharp and efficient, though she often had her own agenda. She stood near the workers, keeping a close eye on them and occasionally throwing out sarcastic remarks when they didn’t meet her standards.

When Zhou Yuwen appeared, Lu Hui quickly pretended to be busy. Tossing aside her sunflower seeds, she stood up and greeted him cheerfully. “Boss!”

Zhou Yuwen glanced at the sunflower seed shells on the floor and replied, “Sister Hui, just sit back and let the workers handle things.”

Lu Hui smiled slyly. “I can’t trust them to get it right. It’s better if I oversee it myself.”

The workers exchanged annoyed looks but said nothing.

Zhou Yuwen stayed briefly, chatting with Lu Hui and surveying the progress.   Read full story at novel_fіre.net

“Where’s Liu Shuo?” he asked.

“How would I know?” Lu Hui replied, feigning innocence.

Zhou Yuwen raised an eyebrow. After a pause, Lu Hui added, “Boss, Liu Shuo might be pursuing me, but I’m focused on work right now. The company is still growing, and we should prioritize our careers.”

Zhou Yuwen smirked. “That’s a shame. With your looks, not dating is a waste.”

Lu Hui blushed slightly and replied, “Boss, don’t tease me like that.”

Zhou Yuwen called Liu Shuo to ask about his whereabouts.

“I’m at the pool hall, bro,” Liu Shuo said.

“What about the renovations?”

“Lu Hui’s got it under control. Want to join me for a game?”

Zhou Yuwen followed Liu Shuo’s directions to a pool hall on the second floor of a commercial building. When he arrived, he was surprised to find it lively, filled with familiar faces who greeted him respectfully.

“Where’s Liu Shuo?” Zhou Yuwen asked.

“Over there,” someone said, pointing to a table.

Liu Shuo was mid-game, grinning widely. When he saw Zhou Yuwen, he beamed. “Bro! You made it!”

They played a few rounds, chatting as they went. At one point, Zhou Yuwen asked, “You’ve got some pretty girls working at the office. Why are you hung up on Lu Hui?”

“She’s different,” Liu Shuo replied with a sheepish grin.

Zhou Yuwen raised an eyebrow. “You need to be careful with her. Don’t mess things up.”

“I know, I know,” Liu Shuo said.

“Then what was with that post about ‘having the time of your life’?” Zhou Yuwen asked.

Liu Shuo chuckled nervously and finally admitted, “Actually, I didn’t really… get anywhere with her.”

“Oh?” Zhou Yuwen leaned forward, intrigued.

Liu Shuo sheepishly recounted the events of the night: how he had tried to make a move on Lu Hui, only to be rebuffed and eventually left feeling embarrassed.

Proudly, he added, “But I sent her 1314, and she didn’t want it!”

“She didn’t take it?” Zhou Yuwen asked.

“Well, not at first,” Liu Shuo admitted. “But under my strong insistence, she finally did!”

Zhou Yuwen shook his head, laughing. “You’ve got a lot to learn, kid.”
